I Love Instagram

I am so loving Instagram right now, because it's such a quick and easy  way to share your photos and projects. Also, the people on there are so nice and leave great feedback. I also get so inspired everyday from the amazing artists and photographers I'm following. I like to post a lot of my creative projects such as my home decor crafts, paper craft projects and photos from craft shows. You can also find scenic photos from Minnesota (where I live) and from my travels. I also post random things I like including quotes, food, home decor and also my pets.

Sweet Valentine's Day Frames

Today I have three Valentine's Day frames to share. They are perfect for displaying your "sweet" photos. All three started out as blank unfinished frames. Patterned paper was decoupaged onto the front of the frames. The sides were painted a coordinating color and the edges were distressed with ink. A sealer was added for durability. Read on to find out more about how I made each of the frames.

This "Sweet" picture frame also has a doodled scallop border around the frame. I used a Slick Writer by American Crafts, which writes on slick surfaces. The letters are die cuts which I added doodles to with a white gel pen. Then I added Diamond Glaze to the top for shine.

The "True Love" picture frame title was cut from patterned paper. I mounted it on chipboard for dimension before adhering it to the frame. The letters were given a glass like finish with Diamond Glaze.

This "All You Need Is Love" frame is my favorite of the three. I stamped the edges of the frame with a great swirl flourish stamp and Stazon Ink. The letters are a combination of stickers, vinyl, punches and handwriting.

Thanks for checking out my crafts today!

Canvas Art: Life is too short to drink bad Wine

November and December were busy months for custom orders for the holidays. This wine canvas art was one of my favorites that I made. I made this one for my cousin Pam. She had ordered other items for gifts, but this one was for her kitchen. I really like the wine saying that she picked out.

For the canvas she wanted an 8x10 in a horizontal format. She also picked out the background color and the font colors. She also wanted a wine glass and grapes. When looking at my other signs, she said she liked the swirly florish edges, so I could put that on there too if I wanted.

I started out with a light beige paint that is called Soft Suede. The saying was designed and cut out of black and purple vinyl using my Cricut electronic diecutting machine. Then I found some wine paper with images I could use in my huge paper collection. The images had brown outlines, so I went over them with a black marker. I decoupaged them onto the canvas. Next, I stamped the swirly flourishes all around the edges of the frame. I finished it off with some brown ink all around the outside and edges of the canvas to distress it some.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
