Custom Sign Block

Today I am sharing my newest custom order I made. It's a small sign block with a great phrase. I had never heard the saying before and I thought it was quite clever. The phrase is "I'm sorry, did the middle of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours?" I can so relate to that! It seems like some people won't let you finish what you're saying before they have to jump in. Although, I'm sure I'm guilty of that sometimes too ;)

The customer requested the saying on a small block for a gift for her teacher friend. I used a 4 inch pine wood piece cut to 7 inches in length. Then she said I could pick out the colors and style. Sometimes it's nice to have free reign, but it can also be a little overwhelming too! I decided to stick to a more classic look with the burgundy paint. I gave it an aged look using crackling medium. The saying was printed out on tan cardstock using a fun font with a distressed look (Twizot Hmk). The paper was also distressed a little with brown distress ink. I cut it out with a deckle edge scissor and adhered it onto the block. I like the way it turned out, hope they do too!

Thanks for dropping in! ~Cameo
