Summer Blueberry Salad

This is such a tasty and healthy salad for summer! I had a lot of blueberries and I wasn't sure what to make with them. And then I thought, I bet you they would be good in a salad! So using my usual salad ingredient favorites: spinach, feta, fruit, and nuts, I came up with this salad creation!

Summer Blueberry Salad

Fresh Spinach (any kind will do, I usually buy Teen)
Fresh Blueberries
Feta Cheese (I like Athenos or Kraft)
Pecans (toast them for more flavor)
Mandarin oranges (canned)
Marzetti Light Berry Balsamic dressing (in refrigerated section)

The Berry Balsamic dressing goes so good with this salad. It has a great berry flavor, but it's not too sweet. Another great dressing option is Marzetti Light Citrus Poppyseed. I really like them both with this salad! The Berry Balsamic is a stronger flavor due to the balsamic, so if you want a "lighter" flavor then go with the Citrus Poppyseed. All the flavors go really well in this salad. But, If you don't have all the ingredients, you really can't go wrong with substitutions. Replace the oranges with strawberries, the pecans with almonds, etc. I really hope you give this recipe a try, let me know if you do!

U Rock Greeting Card

This is a quick card I made using a die cut shape I designed and some great guitar paper. The shape was designed in Adobe Illustrator and cut with Make The Cut Software. The paper is from DCWV Rock Star stack, which is a premium stack with foil and flocked papers. This one is actually from the 8x8 inch stack, which I just folded in half to make a 4x8 inch card. The U Rock sentiment is a Digital Shape that I created. I cut it out of silver paper to go with the silver foil background images.

WOOF Decoupaged Picture Frame

Materials: Paper and chipboard embellishments are by DCWV, mat and plaque are from Dollar Tree,
alphabet stickers are Sticky Stax, the ribbon is by Offray.

This is a decoupaged wall hanging I made, which is also a picture frame. It's decorated with dog themed supplies and features my adorable dog Brittany! I decoupaged two different papers to the background on an MDF plaque. The frame is a 4x6 photo mat which I painted. I attached it with foam adhesive to the back to lift it off the plaque so you can slide your photo into it. I also put a clear plastic piece in to protect the photo. I then added chipboard embellishments on the left side and the photo mat. The "WOOF" title is made with alphabet stickers. The ribbon is grosgrain ribbon, which is tied with a bow for hanging. Thanks for stopping by!

Every Home Needs A Queen Custom Sign

I feel bad about not posting much lately! I'm going to be posting a lot more this summer. I have freebies and giveaways coming up, so be sure to follow my blog and/or Facebook page! Lately I've been busy making new signs with vinyl. I really like how they are turning out! This is one of my newest creations.

It is a custom sign for someone to give as a graduation gift. I love the saying they chose! I hand painted the sign red, adding in some flecks/lines of pink. The edges were painted black using Tim Holtz paint dabbers....LOVE those paint dabbers. Then I hand stamped the background with a filigree type rubber stamp. It wasn't even a clear stamp, but I think I was able to make the rows pretty even! Then I designed the saying on my computer and cut it out on my Cricut using Make the Cut software. I used matte black vinyl for the letters. The sign is hung by black grosgrain ribbon. My customer really liked the sign, I hope the gift recipient does too!

If you would like a custom sign, please contact me at or through my Etsy shop.
