Thank You Card in Spring Colors

Supplies:patterned paper is by Dollar Tree, flower accent is by Paper Bliss,
alphabet stickers by Dollar Tree, white and yellow cardstock

This is a flower "Thank You" card idea, perfect for Spring! This card layout would look great adapted for Mother's Day also. The decorative paper has been adhered onto a 5" x 7" white cardstock card.  I made the edge of the yellow/white cardstock piece wavy by just cutting it freehand with a craft knife. The flower die cut accent is raised off the card with foam adhesive. The flower center is a round clear pink flat glass marble. Thanks for stopping by!

Handmade Flower Wall Hanging

This is a colorful flowered wall hanging that I made! You can find plaques like these in some craft stores. The scrapbook paper has been decoupaged onto the plaque. I decorated it with a large felt flower, buttons, and jute. The plaque edges have been painted black and is hung by blue rick rack. I applied a matte acrylic sealer to the plaque before adding the felt flower.

The plaque is made of MDF wood. It measures about 8" square (20 cm). The total height with the ribbon is about 13 inches (33cm). The paper is by My Mind's Eye and the felt flower is from Dollar Tree.

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Scrapbook Pages

I'm so glad that Spring is here! The weather is finally getting nicer here in Minnesota. I can't wait for the leaves and grass to get green again and for the flowers to bloom! Here are some of some of my scrapbook page ideas for Springtime.

Paper: Provo Craft bitty Scrap pads- French country colors, Die Cuts: Sizzlets

by Provo Craft, Font: Funstuff, Corner Rounder: EK Success

This a layout of my nephew Owen when he was little, showing him having fun outside. I used Funstuff font for the title, which I printed out, then went over it with an embossing ink marker and embossed with white embossing powder. The butterflies and other embellishments were dry embossed, then colored with yellow chalk and marker. The white wire is from Fun Wire, which I strung alphabet and colored beads onto, then curled the edges into spirals.

Paper, frame, and tag: Second Avenue by My Mind's Eye, Die Cuts: Sizzlets

by Provo Craft, Font: Sunnydale, Corner Rounder: EK Success

This page shows my niece Kayla when she was younger, in her new Spring hat.

Patterned paper: Creating Keepsakes, Alphabet letters: Colorbok Alpha Stax, Black alphabet
stickers: Me and My Big Ideas, Epoxy stickers: Hallmark, Flower: cut from
patterned paper (CK), Other: fibers and Ric Rac (Carolace)

This page is about enjoying the nice weather outside even thought there is still lots of snow on the ground.

Craft Artist Spotlight: A Picket Fence Life

I chose a scrapbooker for this month's Craft Artist Spotlight! I first came across Judy's work by stumbling upon her great blog: A Picket Fence Life. I just love all her fun and colorful paperbag scrapbooks! They come in a lot of different themes. Plus she has a really great blog design and interesting posts.

To make her wonderful scrapbooks, she takes actual paper bags and binds them to form a scrapbook with pocket pages. She then adds paper, ribbon, a lots of fun embellishments. They are smaller in size and are quick to complete, perfect for beginners. Use them for scrapbooking individual events, trips, or people. The size makes them perfect for displaying on a desk or coffee table. These scrapbooks also make great gifts! For a really special gift, you can also order a custom scrapbook.

Decoupaged Switch Plates

I wanted to share some of my fun new switch plates that I've made! These are standard sized switch plates that have been decoupaged with paper. The travel collage switch plate was also decorated with paper die cuts and stickers. They are a really nice touch to your home decor, for any room in your house. I also take custom orders if you're looking for a certain theme, color, size, or customized with names/sayings. They also make great gifts!
