A Funny You Tube Video In Honor Of Halloween

In honor of Halloween, I wanted to share with you a funny You Tube video. It was a video featured on Ellen. She had one of her writers tour a haunted maze at Universal Studios. And the result is hilarious!

I wonder what my video would have looked like! I just went to a great haunted ship last weekend. And I did a lot of screaming, but I usually laugh right afterward! In case you are ever in Duluth, MN, it is called the William A. Irvin Haunted Ship right on Lake Superior. Check out the website: Haunted Ship. Have a fun and scary Halloween!

Candy Corn Snack Mix

I just love these glass pumpkin containers. They're great for so many things. You can put festive fall items in them such as leaves, potpourri, and Fall scented candles. They also make great treat jars for candy, cookies, or this yummy candy corn mix. I tell you, it is addicting!  And so easy to make, there is no measuring involved.

Just mix together:
1 bag of candy corn (26 oz, I prefer Brach's)
1 bag of M&M's (12.6 oz)
1 container of dry roasted peanuts (12 or 16 oz)

I like mine extra peanutty, so I use a 16 oz containter, but it's also great with less. If you can't find the exact size bags/containers I used, you can start with equal measurements of each, then add to taste.  I think it looks better with the Halloween colored M&M's, but the two stores I went to didn't have them. Reeses Pieces are already in Fall colors, so I might try those next time. Or maybe a mix of Reeses Pieces and M&M's. Give this recipe a try! It's so good, it'll disappear fast!

Girlfriends Picture Frame

I love the way this Girlfriends frame turned out! I painted the frame hot pink and then stamped the diamond pattern over the whole thing. Then I stamped swirls, flowers, and chandeliers in purple and black ink. I added Girfriends words cut from patterned paper. The ribbon is a glittered sticker, with the title sticker layered on top. I also added flower and swirl punches and glitter glue.

Crafts Made With Digital Bliss Word Art and a FREEBIE!

There are so many things you can do with Digital Bliss Word Art! Use them for a Halloween decoration, for scrapbooking, or for paper crafts. They would look great in a frame, for a scrapbook page title, on a card, or a gift bag. You can also resize them to fit your smaller projects, such as tags, mini scrapbooks, and magnets. The best part is because they are digital, you can use them over and over!

My favorite way to use them are in frames. Frame them by themself for holiday decor. Or use them along with your photos in frames that hold 2 or 3 photos or in a collage frame. They are also great in inexpensive acrylic frames including magnetic frames. They look great mounted on cardstock or patterned paper, or use them with photo mats with different shaped openings.

The Halloween Word Art can be found in my Etsy Shop. The colors include orange, lime green, purple and white. Use the white file to print on your own colored cardstock or scrapbook paper. You can also print it on white paper and color it in yourself using inking and chalking techniques. These JPEG files measure 4x6 inches and 300 DPI. These files will be sent by email. Etsy Treasury: The Black and Blue Modern Home

I was featured in a fabulous treasury called "The Black and Blue Modern Home." My item is the light switch plate in the bottom right corner. I love the selections that the Etsy member thecitycupcake chose. I especially love the mosaic round mirror, the personalized purse hanger, and the swirl lamp shade.

From My Shop: Hand Stamped Travel Photo Album

Show off your travel photos with this handmade photo album. This album could also make a great mini scrapbook. The album has a clear vinyl protective cover. The front of the album has a hand stamped design of a world map and travel words/images. The front was hand colored with ink and chalk. The back of the album has also been hand colored with ink.

These photo albums hold 36 4x6 inch photos (10cm x 15cm). They include photo safe pages which are acid, pvc, and lignin free. The spine of the album is a textured white plastic. The overall dimensions of the album is 4.75 x 6.5 inches. It is a great size to carry with you in your purse, to store in/on desk, or to put on a shelf.

These photo albums make great gifts for friends, family, or just for yourself. Give them for birthdays, holidays, or for thank-you gifts. It would also go great in a basket filled with similar themed/colored items.

Quotes From Sex and the City

I love finding great quotes. So I was excited to find a bunch of quotes online from one of my favorite TV shows: Sex And The City. I wanted to share some of my favorites. If I left out a great SATC quote, please post it in the comments section.

“Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they just need to run free til they find someone just as wild to run with them.”

“But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.”

“I don't judge others. I say if you feel good with what you're doing, let your freak flag fly.”

"Don't laugh at me, but maybe we could be each others soulmates? And then we could let men be just these great nice guys to have fun with?"

“I like my money right where I can see it... hanging in my closet.”

“When men attempt bold gestures, generally it's considered romantic. When women do it, it's often considered desperate or psycho.”

“When a relationship dies do we ever really give up the ghost or are we forever haunted by the spirits of relationships past.”

“Balls are to men what purses are to women. It's just a little bag, but we feel naked in public without it."

“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, woulda, shoulda, buckle up and just keep going.”

“I don't believe in the Republican party or the Democratic party. I just believe in parties."

"I'm missing the bride gene. I should be put in a test tube and studied. "

“It's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes -- that's why you sometimes need really special shoes!”

“I love you, but I love myself more.”

I was given a bunch from someone, and I didn’t want them to go bad. I found this great Baked Applesauce recipe which had excellent reviews. The original recipe was for 2 servings, but you can just change the number on the Allrecipes site and it will recalculate the amounts. This ended up being so easy and delicious and it doesn’t require a lot of ingredients. It is also good on pancakes, waffles, and oatmeal. It will make your whole house smell wonderful!

Cook Time: 40 Minutes
Ready In: 45 Minutes
Servings: 4

4 large tart apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
